Hello,
My name is Matt, I'm 22 years old and fresh out of college(no money). A couple of months ago I discovered the world of flashlights and blew a bunch of money that I shouldn't be spending on about 12 lights. Now I'm addicted to reading about and buying knives. About two weeks ago I ordered my first knife, a Cold Steel AK 47. Next, a micro Recon 1. Then I noticed everyone mentioned Spyderco, so I ended up with a Tenacious PE, Tenacious SE, an Endura 4 ffg, and still in the mail a Manix 2 black s30v. I know the answer already, but WHEN WILL IT STOP? I already have my eye on a delica zdp189 and a paramilitary 2 (if I could find one). Anyways, just introducing myself.

It never stops.....welcome to the forums Matt! I go by niner around here...nice to meet ya!

Welcome! A great way to save money is to use the buy/sell/trade section here on the forums.

Nice to meet you too niner! Hopefully it will never stop as that would mean I have a bunch of money to blow! (Starting at my job in a couple of weeks)

Welcome to the forum Munchy,a good way to get new knives with out spending alot of cash is shoplifting.......just kidding! It is the trade section in the exchange. You might even be able to trade some of those lights for blades. Have fun !

Tread lightly my friend. I joined thinking I'd make the most out of my money and make sure I got the best possible knife on the market in a $150 range. Less than 2 months later I'm playing with my new Sebenza as I type. And I'm sure you know by know that you'll find the money to waste. I'm a grad student and poor myself, but you'll always find a way (bottom shelf booze saves money as a friendly tip).

I feel welcome here already with all these replies. I plan on using the buy/sell section to save a few bucks, and will definitely have to try out the shoplifting :) haha. And I'm already on an all Burnett's diet so there's not much lower on the ABC shelf.

Burnett's from ABC? I went to college in VA, so yeah that is a bit of a flashback, however hazy. More to the topic, there are plenty of super knowledgeable folks around here who are more than willing to help and indulge any questions you have. Hanging around here won't fix the itch, but it will help you make sure you get good quality gear.

Welcome to the Blade Forums. :)

A place on the web where just reading it, can cost you a pile of money. :D

Welcome, and best of luck with your new job.
A great place to see some amazing knives is in the manufacturers forums.
Even if you don't think you'd be interested in a particular brand, there's pics of some beautiful cutlery.

Funny enough,my interest in knives LED to an interest in flashlights. See what I did there,I crack myself up.

Welcome to BFC! Lots of good folk here. Enjoy!

Welcome to Bladeforums! Whatever you do, don't look into the Traditional Knives forum! :D
