Hey guys. I'm new here and wanted to say hello. I am from England, and have the teeth to match. I am mainly a fan of GEC and bushies, but the more American tactical look has begun to catch my eye and make it into my collection. I knew I had a problem/addiction when I held my RSK Spartan for the first time. I can't see it stopping either. Oh well, to Busse and beyond!

Welcome to the forums! If you are interested in the American tactical style of knives I suggest looking into Emerson Knives.

It already costs enough! I am currently eyeing up a Rodent 4. Busse are out of my range at the minute, so I need to start lower down the food chain, and I am always looking for GECs now. I own 2, and we all know that just isn't enough....

Welcome, Matt. The Busse family is a great place to look. They have a reputation of having some of the toughest knives anywhere. If you like the tactical look, also check out:

Busse family companies: Swamp Rat Knife Works, Scap Yard Knife Company
Emerson Knives
Strider
Zero Tolerance

The two I am drooling over are the sykco 411 and the rodent 4. Someone in a UK knife group on fb recently got a rodent and they are very impressed, and this guy knows his knives. He has a spyderco collection worthy of a museum.

Welcome aboard and it sounds like you have a hell of a sense of humor!

I will have a gander at their range now. I know some of their stuff, but I don't own one yet. Thank you.

Welcome to the community, man. If you've a love for anything sharp I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself here.

Emersons are great but most are chisel ground.

Hmmm. I don't own a chisel grind yet, however Neels Van Den Berg recently announced his fat dragon hunter which has a chisel grind, and it made me take notice. It works on that blade.

Welcome to the forum everyone here is rather friendly and you can find some sweet deal on great blades. You might just have to shell out a little extra for shipping but you might be use to that. So many great american knife companies/makers (Spyderco, Bencmade, Zero tolerence/Kershaw, Strider, Chris Reeve, Jason Brous) good luck with the sickness it will only get worst here these guys make it hard.

I imported for the first time last week, and it arrived this week. Even with shipping etc, it worked out cheaper. I own a few American blades already, and that number will only grow. I have an esee4 on the way, which I will probably keep with me literally everywhere I go for at least a month. I have wanted one for ages. Do swamp rats etc often get sold on here?

Like you, I'm new here. Never heard of this forum until researching a knife. I've found it to be a rich resource of information. Very knowledgeable and helpful people here. Welcome! And check out Zero Tolerance knives.

The response on this post alone shows how friendly you guys are. It is great to see. I have seen some zt stuff on fb, however it is the busse area I am definitely delving into next. Their steel is something else. The MBB M8 is also high up there, but the rodent is more affordable at the moment.

Welcome and I believe u should look into Zero Tolerance knives its my personal addiction lol

Welcome Welcome Welcome! It gets real expensive! Tactical folders eh? Check out Combative Edge, Benchmade, Emerson, ZT, maybe even some Russian blades like Kizlyar if that strikes your fancy.
