Hello all! This is my first time and my first post in the Becker forum. I'm a big fan of ESEE and Bark River and spend a lot of time on their respective forums.

Been thinking it might be time to try out a Becker (like I really need a new knife addiction) and was hoping for some suggestions on which to try first. I think I'm leaning toward the BK-2 simply for the fact that it's size may allow me to carry/use it more often for more tasks.

Thanks for any suggestions. Pics are always nice too:D

Welcome! A Becker addiction is one of the most frugal of all the knife addictions. Here is a pic of mine shortly after I got it.

Welcome to the becker arena, you should get a BK2.
IMO everyone should own one

I own a BK 14 only... I've been guiltily lurking around the BK forums for a few days now... I'll prolly get a 2, but I really like the 7. Of course the 14 left a great first impression, I tested it the other day... kinda. I broke a knife I WAS testing, and finished batoning with the 14. The 14 worked like a champ.

Hey SMC Clown.....

Glad you dropped by and hope you make the neighborhood a frequent stop.......The Two is a great way to get your toes damp, there are reasons, me thinks that we sell more of them than any other.......If you are a bit nervous about the water temp try an Eskabar, a collaboration with Mike and Jeff at ESSE....Any hoo, make yourself at home and lurk no more....

All Best.....

Don't even fight it. The urge to possess a BK2 is overwhelming - you must have (and use the living crap out of) one. Here's a weird pic of mine I took today.

Hey Clown - if you want to try out the ultimate BBQ tool, I'll loan you my Magnum camp.

Welcome to the forum, SMC, glad you stopped in.

The BK2 is a good one to start with, its one of the oldest designs, with a few minor changes to balance, its a perfect knife for lots of occasions. My personal favorite, and mainly because it can reach up and play with the big blades, or hunker down and work like the small ones. Not alot you can't do with it, even chops pretty good for a 5" bladed knife.

OK, Becker is inbound! Ordered a BK-2 with some fancy GITD scales off an infamous auction site. If it's as impressive as I'm hoping, I'll have to be putting in some more overtime to feed yet another blade addiction. Thank you all for your enabling replies:) Pics upon arrival.

I was gonna say something witty also to help with your decision in buying a BK2, but look like you already bought one. So I'll just post a pic of mine for you to look at till your's gets there.
