I've been poking around at the Bladerigger website. I think it's really cool how the knives are offered with different thickness stocks. The customer gets to chose between an indestrucible knive or one that actually cuts.

I couldn't find information relating to the choice of blade steel however. Anyone care to enlighten me?

I have only seen A2 used. James likes to make his blades scarry sharp and A2 is a great way to go. If you buy any of his products you will not be disapointed. He is my favorite fixed blade maker!

I wholeheartedly concur. James is one of my favorites as well. The reason A2 is such a good choice is because it holds the best primary grind. In other words, there's no secondary edge bevel, so there is less drag as the steel cuts through the target. James Piorek is the Melee God!
