I was looking for something a little different than my run-of-the-mill Spyderco purchase and was interested in several Buck models; I figured this was the right place to come to get an informed opinion. I'm either going to pick up an SBTG Police Advocate or a full-sized spear point Strider. Also, how is the Mayo TNT? Thanks. God bles you and America.

3 great choices in my opinion!!!!
I guess it depends on if you want to carry a fixed blade or folder?
The TNT is quite a bit more $$$$ than the SBTG 887, but both arew worth it!!! You may also want to look into the new mayo for 07! Just a tad smaller than the TNT.
The other thing to keep in mind is the TNT has a S30V blade, the other 2 you mention are 420HC I believe. The tnt also has a titanium frame so its quite light. The 887 is a tank ;) (which I like)
Buy one of each!!!! We look forward to your review and pics!!!
Good luck!

I'll stand up for the TNT....fantastic frame lock folder I keep in my edc rotation. I'll buy a Waimea for edc, when I find it at a great price. A slight difference on blade geometry from the TNT. You can never go wrong with a Paul Bos heat treat on S30V.

The full size strider/buck spear point (880) is ATS34 (or BG42 if you get one of the first run).
