I just aquired a Killer B variant with a black wrapped handle. I am not well versed with the computer and just became aware of bladeforums.com. I have been aware of Busse knives for along time, but for some reason never decided to throw down the money to buy one till now, matter of fact I never new where to buy one since I lost my old catalog from I believe 1992. I am just curious what the knife might be worth and if I overpaid. I guess it doesnt really matter now and I really like the knife, I am hooked. The way the handle is wrapped allows for a very secure grip even if it or my hand became wet. It has a Buy Brown sheath that is fantastic and very concealable and versatile. It is a perfect carry knife, but should I just put it back and let it increase in value. I have used every knife I have ever bought. I am not going to say how much I paid so as not to be too embarrased. Also, are the other Purebred Fighters worth pursueing. Finally, is the Flying Tiger available for purchase anywhere?

Thanks

Thanks for all the feedback.

Welcome to BF! I think you answered your own question: "I guess it doesnt really matter now and I really like the knife, I am hooked." If you can say that, then you didn't pay too much. As far as other knives go, just haunt the Exchange forums, you never know what may show up for sale or trade. If you want a specific knife, then post a request on the WTB forum and you might get offers.

Some special knives will be offered tonight, betwen 9 and 10 EST:

Happy Hunting :D

Welcome aboard :) I have to agree with gstella, if you're happy, you didn't overpay. As for using it, use away. It would be a shame for such a nice knife to be tucked away ;) I know the more I use mine the more addicted I get.

Oh, BTW, say goodbye to your spare cash and hello to your credit cards now...LOL

Welcome aboard. You have several choices:

- Drool over lots more awesome INFI.
- Wear out your credit card and pay it off over the next 137 years.
- Be prepared for a lot of ramen noodles, generic box mac and cheese, and cheap beer.

I generally tend towards the first option for the bigger blades, and snap up some of the cool smaller blades when I can, which are easier for me to justify as daily users. You'll have to find your own balance. :)

Welcome!!!

And I second what Paddling Man says... Watch out! Dangerous addiction!!! :D

As I pretty much asked a simular question... value is relative! You can hunt around the exchange side of the forums and see what they have gone for recently...

Good luck and again welcome!

Welcome,welcome,welcome..............

Glad to have you join the melee. Great blades and even better people at Busse, Swamp, Yard.

Keep us informed on what you like and get.

Gete Ready For Your First Extravaganza

It's a lot easier on the system if you do this after a few drinks. Can get a little rough at the trough. Hooves a flying, CC's melting down under the pressure. And once your hooked there's no 12 step plan to save you. :D

Welcome to the Busse Board (or Trough, so to speak, you'll pick up on this stuff as you hang around).
You couldn't have possibly picked a better time to show up, as tonight is another Extragaganzaaaa: Jerry sells off all the knives that didn't make it to the show, or didn't sell at the show to the forum members. At Show Prices no less!
I'll let you in on the biggest secret in successful Extravaganzaaa shopping...Tomorrow :). Good luck tonight, and if you win more than you can pay for, just let us know how we can help you out. That's a sure way to max out your email box though...
No Regrets!

In a word, no.

I suppose you might get lucky with a "Want to Buy" over in the Exchange, but it would surprise me if anyone lucky enough to have one would ever part with it.

Welcome.

So YOU'RE the one who outbid me on that!!! :D Glad you like it, and for the record I would have happily paid what you did. It's a great blade. From your handle I assume you practice Pekiti Tirsia? For MBC I love the Anorexic Badger, verrry handy blade, the original Air Rescue is also a sweet knife.

BTW if you're interested badmojo.tv has a record at the bottom of the main page of how much Busses have sold for when they were first released. Keep in mind that they always increase in value substantially. A great excuse to grab as much as you can, when you can.

Welcome to the forums and congrats on such a great score!!!!

Welcome pekiti589.

The black wrapped Killer B's tend to be fewer in number than the black/yellow ones.

It would be best to see from the sale forum(s) what they have transacted at recently.

I have one like it, and it is a sweet hunk o'INFI.

I would ballpark them $250 (used, <80% condition) -$350, maybe $375, but that is just my opinion, and may be anchored in the past....

Welcome to the forum. Hope you have a chance to stop by tonight for the extravaganza.

Great score on the killer bee. You don't see many of those around for sale these days or any of the other purebred line for that matter. Definately worth grabbing if you can find them. As far as the Flying Tiger goes, GOOD LUCK. I haven't seen one for sale in a long time and those who have them don't seem to be in a hurry to sell them.

Anyway, glad you stopped by and look forward to you hanging out with us for a while.

Garth
