I am new to this site as well as Busse Knives
I have been echanted by the sweet melody of Busse knives like rats to the Pied Piper. And now I must seek the glory of the INFI experience so many of you speak of.
I would like to ask some info probing questions to put my drooling of Busse into better focus.
As I understand Busse knives are kinda hard to come by and are only made in certain bunches at a time of only limited models? (ie Hell Razor and Pork Belly Skinner)? Is that right?
I have fallen in love with the Steel Heart model (Black on satin blade). can those only be found on ebay or from an individual? (because they are not currently being made in Ohio?) ( I love that they're made in the USA!!! Rock on! :D )
And finially, how do you pronounce "Busse"?
Thanks in advance!
It's great to be in company of other knife lovers!!

Hey,

We share many similarities, i too am both new to the site and mystified by the busse infi-magic. Moreover, i still have my cherry and have been researching similar info as yourself. After, much investigation i have also fallen in love with a model(s) no longer in production (Flyin Tiger and the Natural Outlaw). And yes, i belive in polygamy when it comes to the sanctity of the busse tradition. In any event, i have almost reached my breaking point and am probably going to pull the triger on a Hell Razor. And from what i hear, its not a bad start to what could be one big happy family someday.

holy moly! you guys are looking for a couple of mighty fine blades  you can't go wrong with a steel heart or outlaw although they might be a lil tough to find right now.

hell razor is a really fine knife, hell... all busse's are!

keep your eyes on the for sale forum as they seem to appear more frequently during and after blade show.

the company store will have some special satin jacks coming soon as well as the game warden in some very special thickness's guaranteed to slice some of your fingers off

Hello and welcome
Busse is pronounced.... Bus (like the vehicle) and EE (as in yipEE, I just got a new knife!)

well, there's this expedition getting ready to enter one of the three holes that lead to the center of the earth. they commissioned busse for a special run of knives and like the nasa heart's a few of these mole blades just happened to disappear

well guess who happened to find them :)

Ahhhhh 19,000+??? Wow that is a pricey trip. Does the Infi come standard? Ummmm, lost garden of Eden giant green animals? Is that what the SJT's are for?

sj-tac,

the satin jack was the older model, out of production for a year now, with a coated blade it was called the satin jack cg (cg for combat grade), the sjtac is the new model with a coated blade.

sj-le was the old model in satin finish with a limited serial number. the hogsj-le is the new model (heavy ordenance grade)

so these new ones coming will be sj-tac with some special stuff added to reflect use under the aurora borealis. or so it's been rumored.

i'm sure someone with more info than i have will be along shortly to correct any mistakes and add to the data base.

I've noticed that the selection of HR colors and scale options has thinned out, just a little. I hope they last until I get my checkbook gets caught up. Individuals seem to mark them up, a bit, when reselling.
