New to collecting need some help

Here is the story, short version, I got a knife from my father-in-law marked camillus on the blade and 51 on the other side. It's also marked with Barlow on the bolster, it's a 2 blade knife w/ main blade of 2".

I would like to get more background on the knife, when made,values, etc., and some tips on cleaning it up. It has some minor rusting as my father-in-law is not a knife guy.
