Hi all,Purchased my 1st CRK today, and its a umnumzaan. Having striders, hinderers, zt, spyderco, benchmade, lionsteel, dpxgear etc all i can say is CRK is the best as it comes complete with literature, grease, loctite and necessary tools needed to maintain said folder. I dont get these with other brands i mentioned above. Secondly, i have to mention the product fit and finish. Best so far. Even the top spine jimping is all nice and shiny without any machining residue can be found anywhere on this folder. Even very sharp out of the box. Opening the blade is all smooth and very quiet. Quite like this particular design. I now can appreciate what you all have been saying about CRK as i can experience it first hand. Its a keeper 👍 and many thanks to CRK for the great experience 😊

Congrats jumpstat, I agree that the Umnumzaan is one very impressive design, and CRK and build quality are pretty much synonymous. I have had more Zaan's than any other CRK model, so I guess you could say its a favorite of mine. Lately the Tanto version has had my attention (it's in my pocket this moment) - I refer to it as Zaanto. Post some pictures when you get a chance, we all love that. Here's Zaanto and some friends:

Congrats. Starting off with the Umnumzaan is probably the atypical route as most seem to go with the Sebenza first, but it's definitely a unique knife. I toyed with selling mine the past several weeks, but one of my more recent fondle sessions has persuaded me to keep it for now at least. It's really unlike most other folders out there.

Thanks for the wishes bros 👍 deployment is much better today than yesterday. Still need to get the hang of deploying the blade but really appreciate its function. By not flipping, it sure minimises wear in the long run.

I have had an Umnumzaan in my pocket for many years now (09 vintage). It's a superb knife and once you get to know it well it may well spoil you as it did me. :p

I have spend that last few months in a literal battle between my old best friend the Umnumzaan and my new darling the micarta 25. .....we all know that Umnumzaan is going nowhere though. :D

Funny, I have similar "issue"s with deciding daily which is aboard, a Zaan (Tanto or Star Tac) or a 25 (plain w' Ti Lock clip - which I HIGHLY recommend - or Micarta).

I did have a zaan once. Had to let it go though as it is really too big for my EDC purposes. But lately, I have been looking hard on the old pivot zaans.. We'll see where this takes me.

Congratulations on your first CRK. :)
