ok ive read all the info on the website and ive been reading some threads in the crk forum. i like the design of the sebenza(lefty) but someone explain why they are so darn expensive. Is it because of the Ti handles?

give me a sales pitch.

CRK is the only company that regularly makes dedicated left hand frame locks and that's why they get most of my business. As for the expense factor, that's what people are willing to pay and even at that they is a waiting list. Materials are a relatively small portion of the cost of a folder. The real expense is all the hand work that it takes to finish the knife out. Also grinding the blade to spec is no easy task. But regardless of what it cost CRK to make a Sebbie, it's the laws of supply and demand that put the Sebbie in that range. People who buy them are for the most part very satisfied.;)

First, they're finely crafted knives. Second, they're made out of high quality materials. Third, they aren't mass-produced in the way lesser-expensive knives. By that I mean there just aren't that many of them around. All of these combined result in a knife that costs exactly what the market will bear.

I'd say the first reason to buy a CRK is durability and dependability.

I'd say the second is pride of ownership.

Others mileage may vary ....

True, finding a decent left handed knife is a feat, i own a few emerson lefties.
The frame lock was one of the features that i really liked. Thanks for the info

Let's not forget about the best Customer Service in the biz....not to mention lifetime warranty and repair service:thumbup:

Sure thing! ;) I highly recommend True North Knives. Neil, a fellow forum member, has several large lefties in stock and is great to deal with. Ive bought my last Sebenza there, and was very pleased. :)

Have fun. :D

I just bought a mnandi from plaza cutlery (plazacutlery.com). They have a pretty good selection of CRK knives and the customer service was excellent.

Just took a peek and they have left-handed sebbies over there.
