I recently purchased these and would appreciate any info on them...Sorry in advance for not knowing much. I kinda stumbled on the brand and fell in love.

I will show the pictures of the knives and then the questions for that particular knife.

The Karambit shows to be a 2010 and has light brown handles. The box label says its an Handles Handles Karambit (yes it says the word handles twice. Is the knife a Christmas Karambit? How many were produced? The finger hole seems smaller than the current Combat Karambit is this correct?

The second knife is a CQC12 Vines and Roses from 2006. Is this the first year of production? Is this a limited production knife? How many were produced? I notice that you recently did another run of these, how many were in the 2012 run? Is this knife a good knife to carry or is it collectable and I should keep it put up?

I can't see your pictures, but I'll see what I can answer...

The Karambit shows to be a 2010 and has light brown handles. The box label says its an Handles Handles Karambit (yes it says the word handles twice. Is the knife a Christmas Karambit? How many were produced? The finger hole seems smaller than the current Combat Karambit is this correct?
- It sounds like one of the Christmas knives with specially colored G10. The finger hole on the pre-2012 Combat Karambits and the 2012 Combat Karambits are identical in size. The biggest difference is that the 2012 Combat Karambit has a spacer in the ring to make it more sturdy. The ring itself is slightly larger to accommodate the standoff.

The second knife is a CQC12 Vines and Roses from 2006. Is this the first year of production? Is this a limited production knife? How many were produced? I notice that you recently did another run of these, how many were in the 2012 run? Is this knife a good knife to carry or is it collectable and I should keep it put up?
- The Vine and Roses CQC12 is a special edition. Emerson has done a few Commanders with the same pattern, but this is the first Framelock that I've seen. It should be collectable, but I'm a user kind of guy, so I don't have any collectible knives. IMO, life's too short not to enjoy things. :)

Trouble Posting Pics... Any thoughts?

Upload them to a free picture hosting service like Photobucket or Flickr and then post the share link in your thread (in tags). Then we can see them.

As for your knives, both are collectable, but the CQC12 is moreso. Emerson makes very few framelocks.

For being new to Emersons I am envious of your collection. Especially the frame lock 12. Thanks for sharing.

The knives you are referring too are a new run of the original. This is a 2006, from the original series.
- The Vine and Roses CQC-12 were just made (assembled). The blade itself is most likely from the original CQC-12 run. Emerson has used older blades on newly assemble knives. There have been other Vine and Roses CQC-12 posted on other sites with the same blade date within the last few weeks.
