I finally broke down and went for the real thing as opposed to the few collaboration models I own and figured I'd get a thread going to get some info and post up some pics when it arrives.

I ordered a Persian SF folder.
Site says in stock and I got an email back that says "order completed". I'm not sweating anything here, just to be clear, just asking those with ordering experience from Emerson. Does that mean it's been shipped? I can't find a confirmation number and the trip to my box is a pita this time of the year so I'm curious if it's been shipped before I make the trip.
I'd ask at the head office but they're out, I think.
I'm looking forward to this one for sure. It seems most folks are more than happy with the company and their products.

Also, I'm looking at some of the clips and screws on the site that I'd like to pick up. Pricey for sure but that's not a huge detraction for me but are there any other places I should look for the same sort of pieces? Maybe less expensive?? And are those accessories made by Steel Flame?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hello and congrats on the purchase! When a order gets marked as completed, usually means that it has been pulled, packed, labeled and shipped. They don't send out any tracking info but you can email them about it. If you selected the "free shipping" option, it's been USPS Priority mail (for me). There are several people that provide replacement aftermarket parts in the Exchange and on other sites too.

The order complete email is just confirming they received your order and possibly packaged it for you. It should ship the next day. Free shipping should be priority mail. If you call and request tracking they will email it to you once it ships.

As far as the clips/accessories are primarily steel flame, hence the high price. The standard Emerson clips in satin and black either plain or with the skull or cross sword are much more reasonable.

Welcome. You will love your knife.
I like mine stock but do-it-up if you want.
My HD7 does have a way cool rear spacer made by Eric of ShepardCC.

Thank you.
I'm sure it's on the way. Seems as though their customer service is top notch. The correspondence I've received from them has been courteous and professional.

I'll keep an eye out on the exchange for some goodies but I'll keep my PM box clear in case anyone sees anything listed. ;)

I ordered a knife from EKI on Friday, and received it on Tuesday. Not bad when you count Sunday and MLK day on Monday.

Got it today.

Very well built and fits my meat hooks perfectly. It's always a gamble when I buy something without checking the fit but this one feels nice.
Only one little nitpicky item. Someone missed about a half inch or so sharpening. I could see the flat spot by eye. No complaint, gave me a reason to break out the stones and get a feel for sharpening the chisel grind. Not a problem, I usually dull a knife in a few days anyway so this just preempted the inevitable.

I ordered a pocket clip today. Starting off with the pirate. Looks nice.

NICE! I hear you on the not knowing how a knife fits/feels. Glad to hear you like it. I like mine. I have received a couple of knives that have slipped through without a full sharpen but by this point we should know how to sharpen knife. Congrats again on the fine purchase!
