Hey guys, so I got my rc3 a week ago and just received my 5 today! Wow this thing is a tank. Ive really fallen in love these blades and ordered the izula ii and 2 izulas for me and the wifey. They are so simple and clean. Feels like a purist's blade.
do any of you carry the izula as edc? How do you cary them? Neck, pocket, belt? I'm in cali so the izula is the only one I can legally carry. I like fixed blades a lot. Not really a folder guy I realized. Thanks for any help on how to carry and just wanted to share how pleased I am about esees.

Welcome!
They are great knives. I don't have the Izula, Escabar instead. I carry mine in pocket, sometimes on the belt. I bet the Izula wears as a great necker.

Yes it does wear great as a neck knife. I was not so sure about it at first but you forget it is even there. Also when my 1 3/4" custom double bull hide belt is completed I plan on wearing it as a belt knife, right behind the Sig 220. The Izzy is such a small knife it is very easy to conceal in any manner.

Welcome. I live in Cali too. But you gotta remember that when carrying fixed blades they have to be warn openly on your waist regardless of size. Concealing a fixed blade is a felony. I EDC my Izula and carry it concealed IWB (Yes yes I know shame on me :p) as to me that is the most comfortable way for me. Carrying the Izula as a neck knife is legal just as long as it shows outside the shirt, just be careful and try not to get searched, pocket carry could possibly be considered illegal but if you are going to carry it any way that it can't be seen clearly then be careful and try not to get searched :D

I carry my izula vertically on my belt. above my right butt cheek, using paracord. It works pretty well and i hardly notice it is there. Plus it is somewhat concealed with a shirt over it.

Welcome. The ESEE's really are without question some of the best knives out there.

As far as carrying the Izula or IzulaII, there's lots of ways to do so. Experiment and find what feels best to you. For me I simply keep it in my front pocket and don't even notice it there until I need it.

Welcome,

I don't carry one with me every day but when I do I tend to just clip it on my belt with the metal clip the Izula II comes with, or I just drop it in one of my pockets.

Welcome to the folds, you gots good folks here, no doubt. And you have a ton in common, like owning some of the best steel out there, and having a ton of fun to boot.

Welcome! Experiment with the carry - it's more important that you have it when you need it than if you're wearing it "the right way."

Yea just as long as you stay stick with ESEE and keep away from those Becker things, I think they are supposed to be knives, then you'll be using the best knives out there.

I've been carrying mine in the my right front pocket and no longer carry a pocket knife.
The Izula is just so light and disappears in your pocket.

Oh...didnt know fixed blades were illegal if concealed :thumbdn: I just thought they had to be under 3". Isnt there an esee folder? Hest? Its over 3" though I believe. Man this really sucks.

FYI, the Izulas are addictive. I know -- I went from 0 to 4 in 60 seconds.

Welcome to bladeforums, ESEE knives, and your new obsession...

I carry my Izula in the pocket or around the neck, depending on the situation. Some people are freaked out when you pull a knife out of your shirt, so as sad as it is, non-knife people sometimes play a factor in how I carry my Izula. I personally prefer neck carry over all others, however.
