Hey everyone, I'm new, so be kind if I'm breaking any rules along the way. I just purchased my second Benchmade ever, a 940-2 from DLT Trading. It arrived super fast. The blade is very sharp, centered, and the lock up is what I would expect from and Axis lock. Everything seems perfect, ....except...the green standoffs....are....duller in color than I would expect. It seems from all the video reviews online that I saw, the green pillars are like a bright green metalic...these are not that. They're like a duller green.
Did something change? As far as I know, DLT is reputable company. Everything about this particular knife screams authentic. Fit and finish seems to be exactly what I would expect.

Thoughts? Has there been a variation on the green that is used in the pillars?

It really depends on what you call "dull". My green standoffs aren't what I would call "dull" but not necessarily "shiny" either. I would rather they be a bit matted anyway.

If you ordered from DLT, you should be good to go, tho I don't know the particulars of the 940-2.

Welcome to the forum! :)

As C colin.p wrote I wouldn’t classify the green standoffs on my past 940-2 or the one I bought my brother as “dull” or “shiny”. Just a nice in between

Thank you all for your replies. I love the knife. Still breaking it in, but honestly there is nothing to complain about with it: sharp, centered, great G10, and a perfect rotation with my mini grip.
Those pillars are just muted enough to give me pause, but like someone said, I actually like the look. Thanks again.

Welcome to the forum! The colors on anodized aluminum can vary from lot to lot. Without seeing a pic its hard to tell. Enjoy your knife!
