Hello all! I'm new to the blade forum, but I have been a lurker off and on for a few years. I still remember when I was a young boy seeing axes used and just thinking they were the coolest thing in the world. My first axe was a fiberglass wonder from Craftsman when I was in high school. (2002-2006) Shortly after I found an old Estwing hatchet in my grandfather's garage and I was hooked! I have recently come into a few other older axes, hatchets, and mauls from friends and my trying to clean them up. Youtube has been how I have learned the most, hearing about Gransfors Bruks from people like Wranglerstar, and Hoffman Blacksmithing more recently.

With that introduction aside, here are some questions:

1. Who are some other good YouTube channels to check out? I've recently been watching Bushcraft Sisyphus and have found him enjoyable.

2. Speaking of Bushcraft Sisyphus, has anyone checked out his Lamaca axes?

3. I have tried searching through the forum for a way to identify some of what I have gotten, but most of them are older and the supplied links don't work. Does anyone have a resource to help find manufacturers by stamps in the metal?

4. The Estwing brand isn't the greatest, but they occupy a soft spot in my heart. I have the Sportsman's Axe, and the shorter Camper's Axe. I like the longer handles and was thinking of getting the long handle version of the Camper's Axe but saw several reviews on Amazon where the handle has bent. Has anyone else had this problem? it's making me hesitant to buy the longer version.

We can help with identification. Just take a lot, and I mean A LOOOOOOOOOOT of pictures from different angles, from the top, from the side, the shape of poll, eye, handle.... All those things are important.
Upload them to https://postimages.org/ and then share a link choosing "HOTLINK FOR FORUMS" option
