Here to introduce myself and show off a few pieces I've worked on recently, names Mike, from Portland, Oregon.... Picked up this Wetterlings for a steal ($8) at a local junk store and now I've found me a new hobby!

Group of pieces I did, mostly unmarked/unidentifiable, but two double bits are True Tempers and the mattock is a Leetonia Tool Co

Only stamp on her, thought it might be a Puget Sound pattern but no definite answers yet.....

$20 for all 4 steal this weekend!! (Plumb Double, Collins Homestead single, Montgomery Ward hatchet, Japanese maul....)

Thank you all for your time and help, Happy axe-ing to all!!!!

Nice refurbs! Careful though, axes have a tendency to multiply...quickly! But I can quit whenever I want :)

Welcome to the forums. Portland is an interesting place to "junk hunt". Hit or miss. In Sherwood there is a cool place if you happen out there.

Nice clean-ups/rehangs by the way.

And thank you for the compliment on rehang! Any idea on the double bit stamped "4"? I thought it looked like a Puget Sound head but unsure..... Thanks!

I think you might be right on the Puget Sound pattern, but I'm just not a good judge when it comes to patterns. Did want to say though, that I think there are a few features that suggest to me it's an older axe, particularly the way it's ground and the hilly nature of the center line. Nice lookin stuff and they would look really sharp next to a Chevelle, particularly a 68.

Sadly the Chevelle is gone but thanks all for the kind words!

Had the vacation of a lifetime when I sold that car, a week in Bora Bora!

nice feller on the left in top image.
i have found many good axes in your area. I'm from Mudzoory, we don't find fellers here much.
all good
