Good evening. New to the forum and have been lurking / reading for some time. Although I am not a collector, I have a few knives; Kershaws, Cases, Spydercos (just ordered a paramilitary 2), a 35 year old Buck 110 and... an old Olsen. My wife purchased this Olsen for me when we were dating and I have carried it camping / hunting / fishing for over 30 years. It appears to me to be handmade and I can't find anything about an Olsen knife company or any other information about origins of the knife. Blade looks to be carbon and it obviously shows a lot of "patina" (sort of like me these days).

So does anyone have knowledge of the maker, company or anything like that. Not looking for a value, as it has way too much sentimental value, just curious as to origins of the knife.

Thanks.

Jump over to Bernard Levine's forum, and search for Olsen knife. There is at least one thread with pics and history of the Olsen knife making company.

The best, or at least the easiest is to upload the picture to an image hosting site such as Photobucket or Imageshack, then copy the IMG code they give you and paste it into your post.
