New to Forum - What makers are quality?

My first Bali was a Pacific Cutlery Balisong before Benchmade bought the logo. It was a small all steel and was just a little short to really use correctly so I gave it to my son. I have a Benchmade on order (BM-42A)and will certainly consider a Tachyon when the hoopla and the prices die down (maybe Christmas?).

My question is, are there other quality knives out there that you would bet your life on?
