I have been loitering around this forum for a few weeks and finally decided to register. I have recently jumped right in to knife making and I am hooked. Obviously I havent turned out anything as beautiful as many of the knives I have seen on this forum but I have finished two knives.
They are both stock removal O1. Cheap 1x30 HF belt grinder. Ive had it for less than a month and I wish I had a better one.
Soaked for 30 minutes at 1460 F in a 30 year old ceramics kiln I retrofitted with pid and ssr for digital control.
The first handle is black walnut and the second is japanese maple.
