32C42642-DD6E-4DCC-91C1-E51FAAE81581.jpeg Just picked up an XM-18 3.5 Bowie off the exchange and it needs to be sharpened. Naturally I took it apart to chuck the blade into my wicked edge. Everyone wants to see what’s inside their new used toy right? Anyways I see that the nylon is in need of replacement. Should I get me some phosphor bronze washers or just go with the stock replacement? Or option c? I don’t know what option c is.

Top washer is incorrect , looks like some kind home made from plastic or something
Lock bar side washer is smaller , that one does not look to be same material either.

I’d like to spruce it up a bit and I found the making a Hinderer great again thread. I can’t seem to find the right size washers in stock anywhere.

I would recommend the stock Teflon washers. Contact Hinderer tomorrow and they should be able to hook you up!

I can send you a set if you cant get them , shipping from Canada so might take a while if you have time to wait.
PM me

I have found I really like the Teflon washers ... Teflon has the lowest coefficient of friction out of any of the washer material, meaning it's the smoothest.

Thanks for weighing in Josh. I’m sure the action will be infinitely better on new washers compared to what came out of this thing.
