I made about 100 knives 20 years ago, business got so time consuming that I quit. Now that I'm retired I've started making them again and have about 10 that I want to sell. I sold most of my knives before when I lived in Lubbock. But now I live in a small town. My question is: Where can I advertise my knives or should I go to gun shows, craft shows, etc.? I don't even know if there are free classifieds where I can advertise. Can anyone help? Thanks, Bernie

Pay for the appropriate membership here and you are in business. When I feel like I want/need another knife, new or used, I come here. As do a lot of people.--KV

Welcome to Blade Forums.
In addition to what KV said, take photos of your knives and post them here like other makers do. This is a great way to build interest or a following for your work.
And get an appropriate membership under your real name.
You will probably get better results setting up at knife shows as opposed to gun and craft shows.
Don't get frustrated if you don't sell many knives at shows right out of the chute. Look at knife shows as
not just sales opportunities but marketing and learning opportunities as well.
Good luck!

Thanks guys. I looked on ebay & they are advertising "custom, hand made" knives at $30-$35. I'm wondering if there is money to be made since I have that in belts & materials??? I'm a little rusty & know I'll get better in time but I need to sell what I've got to buy more supplies. I'll check out a membership, thanks for the tip, Bernie

Stay away from ebay unless you find a good deal on sanding belts. There is some really good stag on there right now though.
Like the above advice, use your real name and post some of your work here.

My experience trying to sell at gun shows/art shows in Texas is that folks are not there for custom knives, and will usually think that spending $45 on a knife is big money. It may take a little while to build a presence online, but I feel like that is a much better use of your time. Knowing where to sell online is important too, and as others have said, the "custom" knives on eBay are priced that low for a reason. The Exchange here is a much better bet to get what your work is worth.
