New to knife making.

Hello,

I'm Chris and I am just learning how to make knives. I want to make my first hand-made knife. I spoke with Jason Fry and he helped me a lot. But I want to know how to make a nice knife with these supplies:

12" File.

Bench Grinder

Heat Treatment and Quenching Station

Sandpaper

Another File for profiling I guess


I need to know how I would go about making a knife with these in steps.

Hi Chris, WELCOME You need to go to the Shop Talk forum and look at the stickies at the top. There is one called good info for newbies or something like that. Start reading. Most of your questions, and a lot you have not even thought of yet are covered there.
I do hope you realize this is an addiction....enjoy!
