hey guys, im just getting into knives, and came across a case knife that i cant find any info about. From what i have gathered about the knife it is a case xx 10 dot, so it is from 1970. it also has 614 engraved on the other side of the blade.I cant seem to be able to find out the value of this particular knife. if any of you could help out i would greatly appriciate it.

sorry, couldnt figure out how to put pics up, but it has a tan, or yellow handle, and is single blade knife

You have to get a link from a public picture hosting site like photobucket or imgur.

As to the knife, how long is it closed? What kind of blade shape does it have? I have a feeling the yellow handle is delrin if that helps. It's a pretty common handle material from case.

The 6 would mean bone or imitation bone delrin (a plastic), and the 1 would mean a single blade. If it were yellow delrin the first number would be a 3. There should be another number after the 614. The pattern number is always 2 or 3 numbers, AFAIK. The closest I can find is the 6143 Daddy Barlow. Google it and see if yours looks like that.

We can only give values for a knife if you're a subscribed (paying) member of Gold level or higher.

However, if you can identify the knife, it's not hard to figure out relative value simply by poking around the auction sites for similar examples.
