Hi , been lurking on the forum for some time, learnt a lot from G2 and others
Started this leather craft business around march this year so today is show day of some of my work, although I'm happy so far there is much room for improvement....let the drums roll!

First up is a fixed sheath of my custom "leather craft knife" in a clip system, this project came about during a discussion on whether it's viable to EDC a Sharp Kiridashi knife.

Next a cross draw folder sheath.

Another folder sheath for a Spyderco Endura , this time horizontal.

Does the fixed blade sheath clip onto the loop piece on the belt ?

I think they look really good and I can see Gary's influence in the two folder sheaths .
Boy that fixed blade is a pointy sucker :)

Yes the sheath clips onto the belt piece, I've worn it just to the right of the belt buckle (my right) and it's quite comfy when sitting down.
I designed it so it's quick to unclip if you want put it out the way in a pocket, the design needs some refinement.

The Kiridashi style blade is very sharp, the blade steel is N690 , it's part of two set made for me by a local knife maker.

Very nice sir and glad the help was a help ;) love that short wharncliff knife above, looks so handy!

When doing folder sheaths, knives with G10 or rubberized scales are not much fun as both can be too grippy in the sheath, great for retention but not so when you go to draw the knife out, plus if the G10 is very coarse it can start to saw into the leather and you'll see bits fall out of the sheath or be on the scales, it will eventually seat itself into it's new home but it will be something the owner would need to be aware of.

Thanks! Gary, love all your work btw.

Oddly enough the dyes and finishes we get here in Cape Town are very different to Tandy products, our local leather shop cannot import dye ,due to restrictions on chemicals, anyhow the local finish I apply inside the sheath seems to stop the G10 from ripping the bits off but still retains friction, I always test my sheaths before giving out.
I'm edc-ing two G10 folders on a weekly basis so far all ok.

That warncliffe I had custom built for my leather work , the blade design works well, normally I sharpen to 18° with a 2ndry bevel just like a Stanley knife blade and it's edge retention lasts a complete sheath.
Slices through 10mm leather with ease.
