I just won an Ebay auction for a 112 two dot finger groove! I've never had a 112 and this will be a good match for my 110 FG. The description said it's a 440C blade, hope so, but it's not crucial.
I thought that being an inch shorter, it might be a good candidate for a pocket sheath.
Just had to share.

You will like the 112. But use extreme caution. With a 110 and a 112, well, just be prepared for them to multiply.  You are now offically, Hooked!

Larry's right about bein' "hooked"...For over 20 years I had an old 110 layin' around that I just polished once a month or so...Then my mother-in-law bought me another 10 or 11 years ago...I broke the tip dropping it on the floor a few months ago...Got it fixed by Buck through Joe Houser and WHAM...Now I have 7 110's...a 55..a 501...and an old 112 that I'm thinking of having refurbished...Go figure...It's either the knives themselves or the company we keep...LOL...

Thanks guys. Guess I was already hooked: 2 - 110FG's, 2 - 560's, 2c - 426's. I think the only regular production 110 variant I don't have is the 111. I've just never had a 112 because the 110 did everything I needed. I was thinking of a 112 or 422 for pocket carry in a pocket sheath. I've never had a 440C blade either so when I saw this one up for sale I just had to try it.

Well I got the 112 today. It's a very nice looking knife, but not the one pictured. It's a 4 dot. Doesn't have ebony wood. I know I've read it before, but can't remember now - what kind of steel is a 4 dot blade?

Looking again at the ebay description, I misread the 2 dot thing. But seller does plainly state it's a 440C blade so I need to know if that's correct. If so I'll happily keep it.

Thanks Larry. I played with it and found some things I didn't like. So I took the dremel to it and then the buffing wheel. I introduced it to my arkansas stones and it took a very fine edge. Wish it was 440C, but now that I've modified it I really like it. I may check into a BG-42 blade for it.
It's got a different feel than my 110's, but it feels very handy. I'm going to carry it a while and see how it works out.

Bob, I carried a 112 as my EDC for many years and found it worked very well. I like the fact that the blade is every bit as stout as the 110 even though it is shorter. I'm sure you'll enjoy it for years to come. Mike
