That is a nice one. When did Buck stop using that style of sheath? That type seems right to me for the Bucklites.

Thanks Jim, that's a good question... I'm not really sure when they stop using the canvas pouch sheath...
I'll try to find out or maybe someone else can tell us when they stop using the pouch sheath for the Bucklites...

A nice find from Buckville. For the Buck lites the cordura sheath came 1st in 86. Shortly later, perhaps 87 came the nylon with velcro. Those same sheaths were offered with the V52 Selector. The V52 ended in 94 and I think the nylon sheath for the Buck lites continued for a few more years as I've seen them with a 96 or 97 year knife. DM

Thanks DM, for the info...

Yeah they are nice. I had one as a kid and remember it fondly. That's why I guess, the later sheathe are good quality to. I have a nice 424 with the riveted construction and old style sheath as well as a newer orange 422 without the sheath. Both are good knives but the old style riveted 422 and old style sheath is still what I am wanting. Reminds me of my childhood I guess.
