Hey guys I just received my first Becker in the mail today. It's a BK9. I was looking for a nice big blade that I could really just use for anything, mainly just tearing stuff up. I stumbled on to this one on another forum and it was priced too good to pass up. I love it and haven't even chopped anything yet. I would like to strip the coating off of it too what's the best stuff to use. I will post pics shorty too. And oh yeah thuris is the one wih the bk13 in the sheath an I don't know why you would need anything more than these two knive on a day in the woods.

good catch, hig!
You might also want a small knife big enough to get your whole hand on. Fortunately Ethan's got those covered too. :D

Only a 2? You mean first or next is a 2 then a 5, 7 , 14 / 11, 4, 3 if you're into that sort of thing, & eventually the mighty 1 & 6 & if you're really lucky a 10 LE. :D
Welcome to the addiction!

Here's was its first job today. Just felt like hacking up a 2x4 before I came to work. Thanks for the link. I love this knife it chops very well.

Congrats on a mighty fine piece of steel!
The Niner is a lot of fun.
You'll love it even more after you strip that bad boy!
Welcome to the forum.

My 1st becker was also a 9,i used paint stripper to get the coating off and put a patina on,the paint thinner should be around 10-14$ and is foamy and will give off a foul odour.
