Hi guys, pretty excited about my new CQC-7V. My old CQC-7B has a lot of miles on her and although I don't know that I will put her into retirement just yet I am looking forward to trying this one out. It is my first Emerson with serrations, I also love the look of the "V" grind on this model and the texture on the G10 is pretty cool, a bit more of an open pattern, less abrasive feeling but very grippy . It came with both a deep carry pocket clip and an the original clip, thinking I will go back to the original, just looks odd to me with the aftermarket clip. Anyway just wanted to share the excitement, not to many people I know share the obsession.

That's Great:D! 7V's are great with the Tan scales. Love the texture of that G10. I like the standard pocketclip the best!

Thanks guys, I have a cqc15 as well but the commander is probably to follow fairly soon. Agreed on the pocket clip, the original is going back on as soon as I find my small screw driver :-)

Man that's pretty ;)

Did you get that deep carry clip at the Fleabay market? I have two, and I love them.

Nice. Never had any serrated models here either. Maybe when I finally pick up a 15.

No the DC Clip came with the knife but it hasn't grown on me yet. The seller sent the original clip with the knife and I am going to switch it out. What can I say I don't like after market rims either:D

Thanks, I have steered away from Serrations, on Emerson's at least, up to now as well but I can see where having them will be really handy. I often cut plastic strapping, webbing, ropes etc. and I think the serrations are really going to be a benefit for this type of cutting. I even think they kind of suit this blade shape.
