Ever get one of those knives that you lusted after as a kid, but never bought for some reason?

On that big auction site, I just picked up this vintage Sears 95415 lockback. I'm pretty certain it was made by Camillus (maybe Schrade). I remember as a kid drooling over the knives in our local Sears. Mostly I'd stare at the SAK selection and the Old Timers. But my longing eye would wonder over and over again to one of these babies. Don't know why, but I never bought one ..... til now.

It's seen a little use but has a ton of life left. Closed, I'd say it's around 3.75 inches. Not hefty like a Buck 110 or 112, but a solid piece of knife to be sure and yet still very pocketable. I love a long, slender, thin blade, and this one has that for sure. It sort of bugs me how calling a knife a great "slicer" is a thing now on the forum (I mean, what kind of knife can't slice!?). With that said, this sucker is a great slicer! :) I love the old school wood-and-brass look, and can't wait to try it out "in the field" (AKA on walks in the woods, gardening, breaking down cardboard boxes to recycle, etc.) Anyway, enough rambling. How 'bout some pics!?

Congrats on finding that long wanted knife! It looks like it would make a fine user, nice and slim for the pocket too  It would be cool to hear who actually made that one for Sears.

I'd like to know who made it too, but it does bear a strong resemblance to the Imperial Frontier Lockback. Nice Knife! OH

I had asked in the past on the Camillus area of the forum and I was told that Camillus was the maker and they made the Imperial Frontier also.

Thanks for the information on Camillus being the maker of both brands Ed; that would explain why it resembles the Frontier! A great slicer huh, guess I need to find a knife that will do that! OH
