Need expert help on this one. This was listed as a Model 15 circa 1985. I know that Randall offered custom work such as the finger grip handle and the curved finger quard. But all the information I have seen is that the model 15 had an exposed full tang visable on the top of the handle. Here are the pictures, any help or comments would be helpful. This is a hidden tang knife.

Nice knife!

If the blade is an whole inch, it maybe a model 5?

If the blade is 5-1/2” I think its a model 15 with a cut down tang.

Google “Randall model 15 cut down tang” for examples

Yes. Im assuming Ordered with the single finger notch for which the exposed tag wasn’t available and the forward curved guard.
Does the year made seem correct?

What you have is a model 15 cut down tang as eveled said.
Blade is Stainless as indicated by the "S" after the logo.
Going off the sheath and spacers, you knife was made between 1984 to 1991.
The "All Thin"" spacers started in 1984,the Johnson Roughback sheath used up until '91.
The handle style was called the "Griffen" after one of the shop workers came up with the design.
Hope this helps.
Edit:- JRB sheaths to 91,not 93.

Thank you very much. The above information fits the information I was given concerning the knife.

I am educating myself as much as I can on Randall knives. Wish I would have started an interest in them decades ago.

No worries mate, glad to help.
There are few books I would recommend:-
"Randall knives; A Reference Book" by Sheldon and Edna Wickersham
"Randall Made Knives; The history of the Man and the Blades" by Robert Gaddis.
"The Randall Chronicles"; by Pete Hamilton
