Hey everyone im new to owning power tools, and my previous job had me using them here and there. but i have a question that may sound dumb... i bought a new ryobi cordless drill, and in the piece that connects to the drill that holds the bits, came a bit that was stuck inside of it... i dont know if it is supposed to be that way but how do i get it out?

If it's a "chuck" holder, you need the appropriate geared wrench. If one didn't come with the drill, go back to the store and get one....
Most now are "keyless", the chuck just turns by hand. If it's truly stuck from over-tightening, perhaps a little shot of WD-40 would help.

Sounds like it is stuck in the magnetic bit holder.

If that is the case, use a pair of pliers to pull it out. If not, return it and get a new one.

thats exactly what happened.. i thought i was stupid or something, but i was so annoyed with it, i didnt bother looking at the bit... the bit got shoved into the holder backwards...
