New to Rat Knives and New to the forum

A couple weeks ago I purchased my first RAT knife, the HEST, and immediately after bought an RC-5 SERE.... then an Izula as a gift for my father.

I have been a lurker for quite some time and have really benefited from all the information on this board, so thank you.

Like many of you, I have an inexplicable obsession with knives. Quite honestly, I don't know why I am so fascinated but I am.

Thanks again for all the information and reviews and I am really looking forward to the RC-10
 
I think the history and power of knives draws me. It's a personal choice, and it grants a wide range of abilities to the user. A knife is a tool. A hammer is a tool. I can be drawn to both, but I feel more of a connection to a knife. I don't need to trust or maintain a hammer. Perhaps the interaction and dynamic nature of a blade makes the connection. Maybe they're just cool.

Odd random thought, when can I get a 10 inch thin santoku with linen handles?
 
We all pretty much share the same fascination with knives, can't explain it but I like it.
