Hey all, I've been looking at and reading up on Sebenza 21s for a little bit now and have decided that I would like one for my next purchase. I'm a lefty though and have noticed that supplies in some of the decorated LH Sebenzas are either non-existant or very very scarce. The particular pattern I'm looking for is the non-damascus raindrop LH 21. I don't think I've seen it at any of the Chris Reeve's dealers... Is it even offered?

Welcome aboard the madness, looks like you already have a major hunt on your hands. I'm also left handed, so I know the pickings for left handed CRK's are like hen's teeth.
I've only seen what you're looking for in RH models. If, you're dead set on that Sebenza, you can make a direct order from CRK. You can look on their web page and get the list of dealers also.
The LH models do come up for sale here on the CRK exchange, good luck in your quest!!!!!

Haha thank you. If push comes to shove I'm sure I would be happy with a plain Jane LH and just have it anodized or keep it as is for a bit and see if I warm up to it

Goodluck on hunting for your first one and goodluck to your wallet as well :D

I would not recommend anodizing your new Sebenza as it will void CRK's warranty on the handles. They will no longer accept to do a "Spa" on your handle if it was anodized by a 3rd party...

I see... What kind of price increases am I looking at if I do a direct order from CRK?

I am also new to the hunt. Have a small sebenza and love it. Now I have to get an Mnandi, Small Insingo, and some type of large. Is it faster to order from CRK or wait for the web sites to get them in?

Can you pick the exact one you want (i.e. Mnandi wood)? It looks like some web sites photograph the actual knife you are buying while others just have a stock photo. I have been looking at the box elder, but want a darker one.

Take a look at Plaza Cutlery & True North Knives. They are two of my favorite CRK dealers & Dan and Neil; the owners of Plaza & TNK are AWESOME guys.

Thanks for the tip. They have some good stuff.

Here's my newest from Plaza Cutlery. :)

Ooh that is handsome! For whatever reason a lot of the custom engraved slabs don't speak to me, but maybe someday I'll find one I can't live without. That one is pretty sharp.

That's a design called Morning Sun. It's one of what I call a 'serial UG' which means they repeat the design, but each is slightly different. I also have this one, you can see the differences in them...

One thing they do have in common in the trees in the design. Most Morning Sun's don't have trees. PC does have some of these in stock, they also have the counterpart design called Night Sky. They look like this....

I like Night Sky even more!

So, some designs they repeat with slight variations, and others they simply will not replicate?

Discontinued CGG's are never replicated. The UG's are different, they'll never make an exact copy but will make one very similar. Pwrdbycotn just had some lefties made that were close copies to normal UG's that he swiped pics of and sent to CRK.

LW, does the Morning Sun change shades when viewed at different angles the way the Night Sky does?

Gotcha. I re-read the info on CRK website and it made more sense this time round after your post.
