This is the knife that Salem Straub made me! I have had it a while and did I say how much I love it yet? It is the nicest knife I own!! He does real nice work. The quality is perfect and holds a edge like a mirror. Thanks Salem, Mark

Thanks Johnnytoxin! I have a collection of different knives I started 30 years ago but this is my first one of a kind made for me. Just bought a SOG Tomcat still waiting for it to get here. Mark

That's a handsome blade, I bet it has great steel! Does it have bearings or washers? I have several folders that have both, and I have to say that even on a liner lock, I prefer bearings. They will flick open with a back of a thumbnail on the thumbstud.
That one has a nice handle also.

It will open smooth with the back of a thumb nail no problem. I was told it was like D2 Steel. I did not see it apart but it looks like bearings if you look in the tight gap. Very little movement in the blade. Mark

That's very cool brother--when did you order it if you don't mind me asking--just curious what the lead times are with Promethean.

That is a unknown to me because I had some expensive motors he needed and I wanted a folder. Took a few months to get but worth the wait. I may have got the last one for a while since he is taking a break to catch up. Mark

Some more pictures from his site of it.

OK cool, that makes sense because his web site says he isn't taking orders currently. Those pics you linked to show the details on what a fine knife it is--nice score brother!
