So I'm buying my first Spydie. I'm trying to decide between an Endura in ZDP-189 and a Bradley in CPM M4. I know there is a big difference in price, but I'm wondering which is gonna be a better steel for hard use. Thanks in advance for your help.

The GB is just a better all-around knife for hard use. The Endura FFG in ZDP-189 would be an awesome slicer, but the construction of the knife isn't as robust as the GB. Both steels have great cutting and edge-holding characteristics. Good luck.

Thanks, I'll go with the GB. I'm excited about getting my first spydie, as well as my first knife in M4.

I found it on amazon for $151. Is that a reasonable price? That's the cheapest I've seen so far.

Why do you want a ZDP-189 blade in the Endura and not VG-10? VG-10 will be more durable

Because I already have a knife in VG-10, and I like to try out different steels.

Well, my GB just came in, and I'm in love. One hell of a knife. So glad I bought it. This may be my first spyderco, but definitely not my last.

Group pic with two other non-spydercos (gasp).

You made a nice choice for your first Spyderco. Anything made in their Taichung factory is top notch.... in my opinion better than US made :o
