Well I'm pretty much new to knives in general. After alot of reading I decided to go with a Paramilitary 2 for my first nice pocket knife. Just got it yesterday. Awesome knife. I also splurged and have a Stretch 2 VG 10 on the way for a backup. Had a hard time deciding between the ZDP 189 and VG10. Here is a pic with some of my other edc tools.

I'm thinking of going with the Gayle Bradley next. That one also seems to get alot of good reviews.

Very good choices. One observation: Spyderco provides ZDP-189 blades at the the best prices of any company in the industry. This is a great steel for pocket knives for moderate use.

First the Para 2, then the Stretch and possibly the Gayle Bradley?
Those are some killer choices. Very nice. :)
Most agree that the Taichung, Taiwan manufactured knives (Gayle Bradley) have the best tolerances, fit & finish, and quality for $$$. I hope to own a Spyderco (or two) from all the different factories.

Nice McGizmo's and HDS btw.
