For the longest time I just "didn't get" what the hype was about Spyderco knives...I'd look at them in the forums...read about them...but never thought much about them...I picked up that they are sharp, good slicers, etc. so on and so forth...but nothing really caught my eye...I own a couple of ZTs and Kershaws (and some junk unknown knives)...I was more into "bulk" I guess...well, all that being "said", the Domino caught my eye...I picked one up from a guy on another forum...and HOLY MOLEY! What a sweet freakin' knife...sharpest knife I've ever had in my hands...ergonomics are great...classy as "all get out"...I took it apart, wiped it clean, and added some Tuf Glide...it's nearly silent and keeps getting smoother the more I use it...perfect EDC knife for me...So I guess what I'm saying is that, I get it now.

I know the feeling. I felt the exact way until I got my Gayle Bradley. After getting that, I wanted to trade all my folders for Spydercos.

I was with you. Even avoided them because I thought they looked a bit goofy with the deployment hole. Then, I decided to pick up both a Delica and an Endura...and it was over for me. I can't get enough of them...seriously...I CANNOT OBTAIN ENOUGH OF THEM! I wish I had the funds to own one of each. That all said, you're correct, the Domino will easily turn anyone a believer.

I forgot to mention that before...I was like, "Ok..a hole in the middle of the blade..neat :/"...as stated above, I get it now.

Same here, I never gave them a second glance.
Now I'm doomed, I keep making new discoveries and they don't disappoint.
The Domino was my latest and I really like it. The Gayle Bradley is another keeper.

Uh oh! There goes the warranty. Taking down Spyderco knives voids their warranty, something that you should know. In reality, you really don't require to take it down -- a toothbrush, and warm soapy water is all you need. Welcome, and hide your wallet deep underground. :)

Once you find the right one, you're hooked :D

Until the next "right one" comes along. ;)

I don't measure my Spydercos by pieces anymore. I do it by the pound and I'm up to 12 pounds of Spydies. 2 more on the way this week too with no end in sight. :)

The Domino is quite an entrance into Spyderco knives! Most people it seems (myself included) began that journey with the ever-popular Tenacious. Since then, I cannot count the number of different models I have owned. All have been passed on though, still looking for that "one" knife. The chase is half the fun! Congrats on your latest knife!

The thing with Spydies is... because they can be a bit quirky looking with the Spyder-Hole and broad blades (opinions vary, of course) and many times don't have that traditional folder look... people may look past them initially. Then when those same people eventually get one (I include myself in this category, btw) they are sold not by the looks necessarily but by the brilliance and utter functionality of those trademark Spydero design elements. Then the real beauty of the knife comes out (and, btw, the aesthetic beauty then becomes appreciated as well).

(Domino is awesome, btw... LOVE mine!)
