Bought my first real knife in December of 2014, a Benchmade mini Barrage and now I have 6 decent knives in total with the ZT0350BW being my latest purchase. This awesome forum has made me realize how much I really don't know about kives and that I have a lot of reading to do.

Slacker.

Welcome to the forum. This forum did the same for me and made me notice the type of frames, blade steels and scales that I now seek and purchase.

Welcome!

Looks like you are off to a great start there! keep reading and learning and good luck with finding your 'grail'.

I'll probably never own a knife over $250 because I'd have a hard time justifying using a knife that costs so much. And to be honest I don't think I could do a good enough job sharpening a knife with M390 steel because I'm still a novice.

I didn't think I would use a knife over $200 but I do, as for sharpening try a strop first and companies like ZT sharpen for free. It is true how addictive this gets.
