New to the Blade Forums

Am new to this blade forum and a member of several others.
Hope to fit in here, have been forging over 20 years and enjoy making tooling, some knives and writing about them and the processes involved.

These forums seem more involved than others so it may take a bit of time for a old guy to figure out where to go.

Look up at the very top of the page and you will see categories of forums:
General | Community | Makers | Manufacturers | Training | Exchange | Archives

Click on Makers and you will see the forums devoted specifically to knifemakers.

Under General, we have a forum called Bladeforums Service & Support: "Technical Support, Suggestions, Feedback, and Customer Service..." in other words, any questions about where it is, what the rules are, or why it isn't working for you.

The third line from the top is Upgrade your forums experience, and help support this site. This lists the different levels of membership and the privileges that go with each.

If you like your experience here I would encourage you to purchase a Gold or Platinum membership. This will give you other privileges that registered users do not have.

While you are looking around, why not consider upping your membership to gold or platinum, that will give you the ability to sell here on the forums. I would like to see your work here and possibly add one of your knives to my collection. The forum is NOT just made up of makers, but some old guys like myself just collect. One man, if you do not know him already, is Coop, goes by SharpbyCoop. He is a great photo man, responsible for me buying some knives because I knew what they were before getting to handle them. The forum is a great place. I know you will be a great member.:thumbup::thumbup:

There are alot of folks very willing to share information on these forums...
And alot who will chime in with opinions about different things.....

Since you are a "Metal Mangler" be sure to check out the Makers forums section, and sub-forum Around the Grinder ( I assume Platinum and Gold members go there as well as Knifemaker members....I've only been here for several years...and its a little hard to remember all the technicalities (smile)).
 
Thanks, will look around for some iron pounders on the forums. I've noticed one post from a bladesmith I know.
