I been lurking for a while. Live in Canada. Just bought a whole bunch of knives...

SOG Seal Pup Elite
SOG Tech Bowie
Kabar Becker BK9
CRKT FE9
CRKT M16-14ZLEK
ZT 0150 Boot Knife
Condor Combat Machete

That's my collection... for now. I Hope to one day use some of my knives in the outdoor/camping setting of course. My parents were immigrants, so camping wasn't on their to do list when they landed in Canada. I guess for now I'm just a collector of small to medium sized sharp objects... sigh

Welcome to BFC! Lots of good folk here. Enjoy!

Edit to add: Really like the first three on the list of your collection. Looks like your off to a good start!

Thanks men. I'm probably going to get a spyderco caly 3.5 for my edc. I like the deep carry. If auto knives weren't illegal here, I would get the SOG tac auto drop point. My first knife was this old riviera folding knife (made in japan). My father gave it to me when I was a little boy. I'm twenty-eight now, and just a few months ago, I saw the condor combat machete and thought... I have a lot of disposable income seeing as how I have no debt and I make over $60,000 a year. I drive a Toyota Echo, I'm very frugal. Used to sleep on the ground for 4 years, wooden floor. I put a blanket on the floor of course. Finally bought a bed frame a year ago, a low one, with a super hard foam mattress. Almost as good as sleeping on the ground. Really cheap mattress too. Yes, I'm single. I'm just man going his own way.

Oh yeah, since I bought so much, I had the retailer eat the taxes for me :D

I also ordered the Maxpedition Remora. I think it's a pretty neat bag. I'm only 5'5", so it's a good size for me.

I've never owned a Spyderco Caly 3.5 but only read and heard really good thing's about it. Sounds like a good choice. Spyderco has a sub forum here you may want to check out. Along with many other brands. Many knowledgeable owners and users who would be all to happy to tell you what they think of a given knife they've owned or currently have.

Again, welcome to BFC.
