I just bought my first Boker in quite a while (I owned a few Sub-Coms and a Trance a few years back).

I only recently started checking out Boker's gentlemen's knives and I'm pretty impressed. I've got a Plus Carbon Fiber on its way (from the classifieds here) that I'm pretty stoked about, and recently got a Carver's Congress that I have to say is very nice.

I was looking at the Plus Titanium Blues model and it really appeals to me, but I'm not sure how well I'll like the button-lock (this Carbon Fiber will be my first button-lock knife, so I'll know more when I get that one).

I'm fairly impressed with a number of Boker models as well as the quality-to-price ratio for even some of the German-made models (and especially the Plus line).

Anyone have a Plus Titanium Blues model? How do you like it (and did you choose it over the Carbon Fiber model? If so, why)?

welcome Sir...although i am not an official welcoming member by any means. just a florida boy who like allot of bokers, and spends too much of my time reading this forum and participating.

i don't own that model no reason in particular other than others have caught my fancy first. i can say this i own a bunch of button locks...mostly auto's, but a couple that aren't and it's one of my favorite locks. feels very sturdy/solid.

when you get it, please give us your impression of it, if you don't mind? thanks.....

Got it in today - it's pretty nice. I don't care much for huge top swedges, but it makes this thing pretty lightweight overall.

Little bit of blade-wiggle (side-to-side and up-down), but not too shabby. Not sure how a button-lock should be - I assume it's similar to what an Axis Lock feels like when opened/closed. Mine was used, so this may not be indicative of every one of these.

The 440c steel in the blade is fairly soft (the Lansky's aluminum holder left a few light marks), and it's not the easiest to get an ultra-fine edge on it, but I can get it right to the edge of push-cutting-paper sharp with relatively little effort. The edge takes a nice polish.

I love the size/shape and the carbon-fiber. It's smaller than my Spyderco Sage 1 (handles are definitely more narrow), and the CF is very well finished. I have half a mind to start modding it (it could desperately use some Ti bolsters - but then again, I want the Titanium/CF version as well, so maybe I'll just hold off).

All in all, it's definitely a keeper and I find that I really like the button-lock mechanism. Definitely looking at the Titanium/CF version as well as possibly the Benchmade 480. I'm on a Carbon-Fiber kick lately.
