hello there buck-a-roos.

i was lookin through the forums and decided to buy a buck 110.

its a modest version which i purchased from walmart and no where near the level of beauty which i see from the customs here.

i had this knife during my childhood but it was broken through carelessness and lost over time.

but now i have a new one and it will definetly see some use through my edc rotation, especially when out hiking during the winter.

thanks for making the great knife buck company

i hope to relive many childhood memories while out with this knife.

cheers

thank you scott for the welcome.

i will look around some more and read some of the buck stuff before i participate :D

Congrats on your purchase!
But be careful it may not be your last ;)

haha thanks wh4f.

i actually still own and use a buck 119 which i got during my teen years.

the tip snapped and has been reground but otherwise it is a solid knife.

Welcome, jca21! If there is such a thing as a 'magical' knife, the Buck 110 is it, no matter where you got it. Enjoy your new knife and the nostalgia. :)

thanks a.p.f.

i've been playing with the knife ever since i made the purchase, taking in all the memories.

definetly will have to make some time on the weekend to give it a work out on the trails.

cheers

i'm itchin to cut and make something with the new 110...

but its late... so i guess i'll have to wait till tommorow

Can anyone tell me how well the 119 holds and edge? Any posts or threads where I can hear people's uses?

Thanks, the Kabar was one of my first big knives, used only for cutting up fruit and stuff, not really ever sharpened and it held an edge still, years later. I am a sometimes user, just love the knives including the Buck, I have a wood handle 119.

thats great to hear cbach. i like my 119 too it makes a great slicer and takes an excellent edge
