I am new to the forum and do not know a lot about knives.I have recently come into 3 Randall made knives.I am having a hard time dating these and coming up with a fair value. The first I beleive is a Bowie with 11" blade , stag handle and 7 spacers. It has the sheath with painted brown snaps that is stamped with "Randall made knives" on the back and the stone is present and it has a diagonal securing strap. The other knife is what I beleive to be a "model 1" with stag handle and 7 spacers in hh heiser sheath with stone and painted brown snaps with a "1" on top of stamp and "7" under stamp. The last knife is close to the model 1 with same specs on sheath except "4" on top and "7" on bottom and it is curved at the end of blade. These knives were stored in a box not in sheath and are in my opinion in excellent condition with the sheath of the bowie being the only one to show wear on the back.It should be noted that all three of these knives have the original owners (whom I acquired these from) initials and last name engraved on the blade by the handle in small letters. This appears to have been done from when purchased from Randall.
Can anyone please helpme date these knives, tell me what models or styles they are.I have an idea but there seems to be a wide range on these knives.I beleive these to date to the late 50's to early 60's from my research so far.
Coincidently,I live in Orlando and have thought about going to Randall made knives personally but did not know if this would help me. Any help on this is appreciated.
When I get an accurate value that I am comfortable with I will list on Sales forum. I do not know how to post pictures. Please email if you want to see the knives to evaluate. Thank You.
