Hello everybody! I just figured i would make my first post on the forum about my new Emerson. After reading about them on this forum, i decided to see what they were like for myself.

My first Emerson is a Horseman. I really like the way this knife looks and feels. I took it out of the package and was impressed by the quality. I set my expectations kind of low because of what some peoples experiences have been with Emersons. It was smooth when i first opened it up, but after a few times opening it and waving it out, it began to feel gritty. I expected this, so i knew it was time to clean it out. Taking the knife apart, i notice it was a little rough on the inside, but not too bad, and you dont see any of that stuff any way. I cleaned out all the factory gunk and put it back together with no lube. The Nylatron washers work great, because the knife now has a smooth hydraulic feel when opening.
I am glad that i purchased the Horseman. It should work well as my tactical/utility EDC.
I also sharpened her up real nice too.
