Hello everyone. New to the world of knife forums. Been a avid knife fan since childhood like I’m sure most everyone here has been too. Didn’t really appreciate a well made knife until a old girlfriend gave me her Kershaw Scallion 1620. I went on to collect only 1620’s for many years. If I could find the mid 2000s ones I would snag them up. I just found those to be the perfect knife. That is until I got my first Benchmade and thus started a whole new collecting problem lol. Within the past couple months I picked up a mini grip and bugout. 940 is next on the list but the dealer I go to is always out and I prefer supporting local businesses as much as possible. I recently got the worksharp guided field sharpener and I’m still working on mastering that. I’m sure my kitchen knives don’t mind the practice. Stoked to be on here!

Where you been? We been waiting patiently for your arrival...

Nothing wrong with the Scallion. I have one from the Snap On guy that was on duty quite a bit until I got the Bugout.

With the little bit of recurve in the blade, I find the Spyderco Sharpmaker to be about the best choice for the little guy.

Good on you for supporting local business.

Welcome!! Kershaw and BM is a good start....to going down the rabbit hole. :)

Good to have you around.

Keep ‘em Sharp

Welcome

it takes all kinds to complete
if not to compliment topic discussions
encompassing the full gamut of knives.
as it stands, anyone who has a fixation
on knives is generally already viewed as being perculiar by the entire world
anyways...
so imho, being entirely engrossed or having a specializing interest with just
a particular knife type or model makes
one a genuine collector and not some
unsystematic hoarding accumalator.
the journey is of course self rewarding
so what if no one else sees pleasure in it?
hopefully you might come across others who share the very same interest here.
as you might already have guessed,
addiction knows no bounds :)
go slow with with the expansion.
in the mean time, enjoy your time here.
