Hey all,

I'm newly registered, after having ghosted here for a bit. I just wanted to say "Hi" and let you know a bit about myself.

My name's Phil, and I'm active duty Air Force, serving as Security Police/Security Forces (depending on location & duties).

I've served a 3 month Tour in Kuwait, and am preparing to go again in the upcomming months.

I've owned a bunch of knives - some are great, and some aren't so great. The top 2 in my list are the Spyderco Endura (which I carried in Kuwait) and my new Benchmade Stryker. I'll be deploying for field exercises next week, and I'll report on the Strykers performance then. We'll see if it can tackle the tasks that the Endura carried out with ease.

Anyways. Thanks for giving me your time, and I'll catch you all around the boards.

Well hello Phil the SP. So your stuck at Scott AFB, I haven't been there in years. Welcome to the best knife discussion board on the Web.:)

Welcome to the forums, Phil! Always glad to have a new body.

Will be interested to learn about the Stryker's performance. Hope you're able to log on over there.

Phil,
Welcome to BFC!!:)

It's nice to have active duty AF represented here. I'm an ex-AF guy myself. If you stick around you'll see a couple of others who are active duty posting here. There's even a forumite who I believe is an SP as well.

See you around.

Welcome to the forums!!

I did a few years with the Air Force awhile back. I carried my Endura every where. Korea, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and good ol'America. :)

Glad to have you on board Phil. Hope you enjoy this place at least as much as I do.

Hi Phil welcome to the Forums. My name is Phil also, but I was in the Navy and I'm very old in fact I was stationed on the Monitor. ;)

Can someone explain to me why people named Phil have such a hard time thinking up clever nicknames?

Hi Phil and welcome. The more the merrier. Just watch out for that other Phil guy, he has a real reputation as a ba** buster, or so I've been told.

welcome to the forums - my best bud works for dyncorp at randolph AFB working on T38 trainers .......

Hi Phil,
Nice to have you here. Also, thanks for your service to your country from a retired military type.

Welcome Aboard Phil,

I think you will find the forums to be for the most part educational and fun but occasionally a bit nerve-racking. :D
