Hello all! I just recently joined the forum and would like to introduce myself. I live in the great state of MI and my collection is very limited....very very limited.

I own a Buck Tempest 295 Cabelas Edition which I got as a wedding gift from my best man.

I also own a SOG Powerlock multi-tool which I find a lot of use for.

Thats it! This two items have gotten it done for me for a while now!

Are there other Tempest fans out there? I like mine but maybe I am missing out on some other great Buck knives!

Just wanted to say hi!!

* If you have a problem posting pictures, there is a Quick & Dirty tutorial at Photobucket For Dummies. If you don't have a digital camera, but do have a scanner, lay your knife on the glass and throw a light colored towel/t-shirt/cloth over it and scan it. Save the pic, and follow the above instructions for posting pics.

If you search all of Bladeforums for every occurrence of the subject that will overload the search function and you'll get no results, but if you follow these directions you'll find what you want.

Hi IFFAR08!!!
Welcome.
Check out the link in my signature. Those are mine and I love each one. Not a red headed step child in the bunch.
Get a 110 and you will be hooked into getting different versions.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I'll let my step mom know that :)

BTW, you can't see it, but this pic of "mom" is Buck related. She is wearing a 120 on the left side of her chaps. Got obstructed in the pic. ;)

IMO the Tempest is one of the Best Buck knives available. I have the 296GY which is the Tempest ATS34 blade.

Sharp as hell outa the box and still going strong after a year. Lockup is good.. zero blade play and a fast no nonsense opening.

This was the first Buck that I got... its now 1 of 9 soon to be 10

Like Goose has said... try a 110 and then go to it.. I am :) I have 3 110s now all new. Also I have a Custom 110 (thanks to JB4570) and a Bass Pro 110 CPM154 which I love. And I will be getting a AG110 too.

Mav

Mav...are ya gonna get the woody or staggy AG? Or, both?

Must be frustrating as hell to have those fine knives and not be able to take 'em out for use around the village. I don't know how you can stand it.

May go for the staggy not made my mind up yet... been hard at work so mind wont make up on a lot of things lol...

I take my 112 out a lot as its my primary EDC..If I get in trouble then I will deal with it when and if that happens. But yes- its frustrating have so many nice toys to play with and no where to play with them :(

Ask me again when my Nighthawk turns up.... believe me in the dictionary under the word Frustrated there will be a picture of me!

My Favorite too!!!!

OK B_110...that's funny.
Mav and my mom. I shudder. ;)

Hey Igor...I don't have a Tempest. But I have ASAP. They rock.
Great choice for your first Buck.

Hi
I love the Tempest ASAP also in ATS-34.
Great little knife.
Its the only Buck I currently own due to a bad fishing trip.
The quality of most Bucks I have handled seem to be way beyond their price.

Enjoy.
Intrepid (minus1)
