Greetings all,
Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I am a long time knife and gun addict. I am a retired law enforcement currently working as a registered nurse in a psychiatric hospital. As such, I am not "permitted to carry" a blade or anything else that can be used as a weapon. That being said, I discreetly EDC a Kershaw Leek and a Leatherman Micra when I am on the job. Because of my LEO background , however, I tend to gravitate towards tactical blades, weapons, and gear. I also ride a Triumph motorcycle and participate in that forum under the same username. Thanks for having me.

Welcome to the forum.

I don't know why you stated that you broke the law and are still breaking the law carrying a knife (And another tool.) when it came to your specific 'employment rules' but you are. Company rules are company rules whether it is in medical facility or not.

I hope that it does not get you fired.

I hope that some nut job having a reaction to their legal psycho babble drugs or illegal drugs does not overcome you while you are at work and go on a rampage hurting you, other patients or workers if he finds your concealed knife or any other tool.

My MT born and raised husband who legally conceals/open carries a pistol on a regular basis had to remove his daily carry POCKET KNIFE, daily carry Leatherman multi tool set and pistol when he visited a now deceased elderly, good friend who went senile and who was a danger to himself, his family and friends.

That elderly man was put in a psychiatric hospital before he was moved to another facility. The legal Rx psycho babble drugs made him worse (The experts were always fooling with his meds!) and it took several BIG men in the medical facility and guards to CONTROL the senior citizen. As a matter of fact, this happened more than one time.

Best wishes to you.

Cate
