New to the forum

I am new to the forum and thought that I would introduce myself. I have had an appreciation of knives for over 50 years and thought I would post a picture of one of my favorite knives. It is an IRBI knife made in Seward Alaska late 70’s early 80’s.View attachment 1603497View attachment 1603498

Welcome to BladeForums J jacamo .

Really nice IRBI knife you’ve got there, and a great first post too. And you signed up as a Gold Level Member.
A+ all the way around, a class act!

Again, welcome to BladeForums.

Beautiful knife! I own an IRBI knife as well made by Virgil, that I had made over a decade ago when I went to Alaska on business and just happened to see his shop on the roadside! LOL

Welcome to Blade forums!

That knife is a beauty! Specs ? (blade length, overall length, blade steel, etc.)

Also, pardon my ignorance but what handle material is it? Horn of some kind? Bone?

Hello All,
I'm new here too. I've been buying myself a new Chris Reeve knife every couple years for quite a while and recently have become aware that there just might be other brands of knives that I might also be interesting in owning. And, here I am. The picture I'm posting is not my current favorite, which is the CRK Large Sebenza 21 Insingo Carbon Fiber from KnifeArt, but my most treasured knife which my grandfather, whom I have become by the way, carried in his pocket for most of his life.

Hello The Edge01,
Is there a way to correct the spelling of my user name? It should be Zboson.
Ha, I wondered if that was a typo.
Z bosons are shortlived...
The link shows how to request a name change.

Thanks for the link Richard338. I'm a retired chemistry and physics teacher. I still have fun keeping up on current science. Too bad I still can't type worth a damn. :–)
