Took a job in a gun shop after I retired last fall. A fella comes in with a bag full of knives he wants to trade for a .22 rifle. Value in the rifle was around $100.00. He laid them out, and I made the trade. Gave one to each of the two other employees there at the time, one of the big locker single blades, and one fo the smaller three blade knives. Gave one with the scalloped scales to my Dad, and one to my Wife. This is what I have left.
Did I done good, or take a beating?

I think you done well even at normal RRPrice you got back your 100 bucks, and i presune 100 bucks over the counter price for the 22 was already absorbed in its previous deal. $100 bucks in the rifle world is chicken feed.if it was a greener 12G id say you got had.

I'm not sure what is more appropriate here. "Made out like a bandit." or "Came out smelling like a rose."

I'd say that photo there has well over $300.00 worth of blades, and that is being very conservative. Given the right buyer, just the 127OT knives could bring that much on a good day on ebay. You've got an 858OT there too, which is a very collectable piece. The lockblade trappers are popular.
The two others look nice too.

I think a couple of those big lock blades would have sealed the deal for me.
Looks like a good start to a new addiction.

Welcome, Rick

Dad gave me my first one, a non-locking two blade about the same size as the single blade lockers. I've got the scar on my little finger on my right hand to prove it! (A bad day in a Minuteman missile silo, and resulted in a service-connected injury) Another scar that an Uncle Henry left in my left forearm...guess I should've paid more attention in Boy Scouts!
With six sons, and nine grandsons, I'd better be accumulating a few more!
Take 'er easy! I'll update when/if more show up. We've got a pawn operation, too, and I think a simple sign on the counter that I'm interested in Schrades would likely bring a few in....
